Where is the Niagara Region?

The Niagara Region is located in the south part of the province of Ontario, Canada, near the border with the US. The Niagara region sits between Lake Ontario and Lake Erie, with the Niagara River as the border with the US. 

Getting to the Course

All competition events will take place on the North Course of the Welland International Flatwater Center at the corner of Canal Bank Street and Humberstone Road in Welland. Look for the signage as you get into Welland and closer to the competition venue.

Driving from Buffalo: Queen Elizabeth Highway (QEW) North to Netherby Road exit. Follow Netherby Road as it turns into Townline Tunnel Road and then into Humberstone Road until you see the course.


Driving from Hamilton/Toronto/Southern Ontario:
 Queen Elizabeth Highway (QEW) South to Hwy 406. Hwy 406 ends at East Main Street in Welland. Turn right on East Main Street and drive into town, over the canal. Turn left/south on Prince Charles Drive until you reach Humberstone Road. Turn left on Humberstone Road and left again just before the canal.


Driving from Niagara Falls:
 Exit Niagara Falls on Highway 420. Take the Queen Elizabeth Highway (QEW) South exit to #47 Lyons Creek Road/Biggar Road. Turn Right on Biggar Road and follow until you reach Moyer Road. Turn left on Moyer Road until you reach East Main Street. Turn right on East Main Street and drive into town, over the canal. Turn left/south on Prince Charles Drive until you reach Humberstone Road. Turn left on Humberstone Road and left again just before the canal.


Please note: There will be parking available at the WIFC venue for $5.00 per day.
