Canoe Niagara is pleased to introduce the Shoreline Festival! The Shoreline Festival will take place on the banks of the Welland Recreational Waterway during the 2013 ICF Junior and Under 23 Canoe Sprint World Championships August 1-4, 2013.
The festival will feature food vendors, a beer and wine garden, live music, buskers, merchandisers, ethnic and cultural displays, local artisans, a paintable mural for children highlighting the disciplines of Canoe Niagara, face painters, and much more. This festival will be an ideal opportunity to showcase the unique heritage and multi-cultural background of Welland and the Niagara Region. Visitors to the World Championships will be highly entertained by the many attractions of the festival in its unique setting while also watching some of the best athletes in the World competing for glory.
As an extension of the daytime Shoreline Festival, each night of Canoe Niagara a concert will take place at the scenic Merritt Park Amphitheatre in downtown Welland in conjunction with IlluminAqua. Renowned Canadian musicians will be performing in a beautiful setting that overlooks the waterway, the perfect ending to a spectacular day at Canoe Niagara.
